Que Sera

What will make me feel free?

Some things we just have to learn the hard way.

Even the strongest have their weaknesses.

Sometimes even shopping can feel like an adventure. I love that store more for their displays than their clothes as well. ♥

You ever heard the Sly and the Family Stone version of Que Sera Sera? Perfection.

Really? The new version by Jennifer Terran captures the . . . quiet acceptance-on-the-border-of-giving-in-but-still-havig-hopes-and-dreams feeling, I think the song was supposed to always have. No offense to Doris or Sly, of course.
Don't get me wrong, good old Sly and the Family Stone can't do much wrong in my book (neither can Sam Cooke) but the up beat Doris Day version and the funky Sly version mask the fear there.
There is great fear in living . . . the best we can do is keep the faith. Damn I miss me those good old Knights of Faith.
Have you ever seen The Sandlot, Mr. Cooper? The character Squints . . . now there was a Knight of Faith. He totally got Wendy in the long run.
Yeah Terran hammers home that fear, that while most of it is out of our hands, praying for it, hoping for it against all odds is really the only thing we have. At the end of the day a supreme dream or a master plan is actually pretty amazing to have. Rock on Knights of Faith.
